I receive a lot of submissions for this site, for which I am incredibly grateful. However, I imagine you would be surprised by the types of photos that get rejected. The reason is generally not that the photography isn’t beautiful, or that what’s being shown isn’t nice to look at. The reason is that those submissions that get rejected miss the point.
To a lot of people I am sure this desk looks incredibly busy. However, what I see is the owner’s personality. Things are actually very well organized. There are fun elements that I’m sure mean a lot to the owner of this desk. And yet if you look solely at what one would call the work area, you see a simple, uncluttered space.
